The original Coteaz model was in my opinion, flawless, and not requiring of the primaris treatment because he is a human and doesnt need truscaling. The chance that NuGW was realistically going to beat (or even match) such a masterpiece with a plastic CAD kit was zero, and you have nobody but yourselves and your absurd optimism to blame for your disappointment.

Unsure if its me but I fail to see why GW limited ed box set like the Blood Angels box, as it'll just be the usual sells out instantly and the scalpers possibly getting most and charging silly money on ebay. What gets me is what's with the constant rules updates every few months? As much much as I like this channel & other 40K content creators that I'm aware of. I'm not a fan of of them doing: Here's some crumbs (limited ed new box sets) & then 6 to 9 month later charging twice the amount due to the scalpers having got their hands on most of the limited ed box sets & other items

I haven't played in a long time, and now I don't play cause I have no time anymore. Not just 40k but other wargames too, mostly Bolt Action and some Napoleonic era wargames and stuff too. I put hours and hours into my armies and making them look nice. I practiced all kinds of techniques, and the last army I collected which was Dark Angels and Deathwing guys looked awesome because they were a result of over a decade of painting practice. I was always too nice to say "no" to people who wanted to play with unpainted armies, but inside I was always like "aw man, this sucks...". It's a big part of the game for me. I didn't really care too much about winning or losing, I was into the emerging narrative of the battlefield, and the battlefield and both armies looking nice was a big part of muh immersion. I know I'm not alone on that either. Imagine playing an alpha build of some RTS video game, where one faction is complete and looks amazing, but the enemy faction is still early WIP and is just untextured crude models... Sure the game would be mechanically the same but it would be impossible to get fully immersed in what's happening. That's what it always felt like. I'm not saying everyone should have to have meticulous high effort models, but paint them with at least 2 colours before fielding them, god damn. I get it if you have a painted army but you've just bought a vehicle or squad in-store and you're just keen to give them a try on the table asap before you paint them so you just glue them together and throw them into a game, I think that's fine. But if you've got 1000 points and they're all grey, you are joking.

Anyone care to enlighten me as to why the new BA box is so popular? Death Company have gone from oozing character and detail to being assault intercessors painted black with the occasional blood drop, same with the dreadnought. Sure Astorath and Lemartes is nice, but the latter definitely looks digitally sculpted compared to the OG, and loses some character. Just downgrades pretty much across the board imo. Death Company are so cool tho, so ig I'll be buying up the first born kits to kitbash :D.

Set the record Straight ? This is TOTAL BULLSHIT from start to finish. The guy ripped the assest out of the total war game and tried to sell them. How you can defend him is beyond me. Not sure what made you feel like all is forgiven coming from me, the energy as you put it was aimed at the vindication of the rumour being correct (banter between myself and my followers). On my streams we always have this back on fourth which started with a Black Templar ancient rumour that technically never happened and since then anytime a rumour is made out to be true I throw it in their face for a bit of fun. When it comes to this box (as I've mentioned via streams) I've said its not special, compared to the Deathwing Assault boxset its kinda crappy. Actually looking back at my rumour videos if you care to watch them, I actually stated that this boxset would be simply Jump/Assault intercessors and only have 1 or 2 new models, I told people if it turned out true a lot of the people would be split, more so with the other BA stuff yet to be revealed. On the subject of buying or 'go out and buy it', I watched my video again and I cannot see where you got that statement from, I did say if you want the box then I would advise you contact your local hobby shop for a pre-order because this a limited edition box set and it will sell out. I’ve finally moved away from 40k this edition, moved back to the old world and mainly MESBG. GW has completely ruined 40k for me in recently years, terrible lore, pretty lack luster models, price greed and the complete shambles of rules

Yes that leg armor makes him look "HUSKY" LOL. But that bird. I thought it was being held up with a pair of tweezers and still cannot unsee that. And it is the stiffest burd I ever saw. I would clip that crap right off. Use my heat gun to flex the wings and just put it on a flight stand... anything.

The new Coteaz looks silly, but the worst GW model goes to Warhammer Fantasy's oversized Nagash model from the 90s.

At this point I'm done with 40k, but damn I really liked this setting and the tabletop, but GW has gotten too scummy and the lore is genuinely stupid as shit, might as well add My Little Pony to the setting at this point, would only make it marginally more retarded than it currently is. After SoB doing miracles in null fields, Imperium Nihilis, Chaos being a non-threat even though there's a fucking galaxy sized warp rift, and then the goddamn Primaris, the entire integrity of the setting is nonexistent, you can't tell me the Emperor is necessary when Imperium Nihilis exists, you can't connect miracles to the warp and then have miracles when the warp is inaccessible, you can't tell me the Imperium slaughters all who attempt technological progress and then allow goddamn Cawl to exist, you can't tell me over and over and over that Chaos is such a threat when it's still fucking useless while there's a GIANT FUCKING WARP PORTAL ACROSS THE MILKY WAY! This lore is pathetic and ruins the setting and these are only a few examples of stupid shit GW has pulled on the setting.

Thanks for the reply! I guess in my case ignorance is bliss. I can definitely see the shitty MBA-minded policies in GW, but thats also everywhere I look in Nerdom. My buddy is a 25+ year MTG veteran and what WotC does seems insane sometimes. He's also a big Destiny player, and those people have been getting abused like a dog for years. In comparison to a lot of the other crap that goes on, I guess GW just doesn't feel that bad.

I've been playing blood angels since the beginning of 2020, as they were my first Army in 40k. I am not at all excited to see the 10th edition treatment continue on as it is. We're losing like three or four data sheets with this new codex, and we are losing our main damage dealer in the death Company Marines with jump packs. The new Death Company look like they're just going to be assault intercessors with jump packs with maybe an additional rule. There is now basically nothing to set us apart from any other Marine chapter other than the sanguinary guard. In fact, the whole vibe I'm getting from this is the death company aren't even going to have their own sheet in the new code index, and we're basically just going to give a black rage upgrade to a very specific choice of units.

I agree with you wholeheartedly. More people need to hold GW accountable for their laziness with model, lore, rule design etc. What a wasted opportunity this new codex release is; they could have fleshed out rogue traders, given them unique and strong retinue rules, allowed alien allies, they could have given arbites more options (enough to make a full arbites force), carried over Necromunda Enforcer models into Imperial Agents. In fact, this was the perfect opportunity for GW to bring Necromunda models over to 40k. Instead we got the lowest possible effort codex; a pseudo DeathWatch codex (missing any character of the previous iterations of the DW) mashed together with the odds and ends of the imperial range. The recent announcement of the limited edition Blood Angels box is also shite: that is the laziest box I’ve ever seen! Keep making videos and stay on this path. You’re the voice for many real Warhammer fans.

games workshop is currently battling internally with the woke mind virus. Creativity is one of the first things to suffer when this happens.

This edition does feel blah. It seems that GW focused more on AOS and Old World. I was hyped to get back into 40k since playing 4th edition. The last Sisters of Battle Codex has a lot of cool stuff, but man the points are a little high for my taste. This new codex for Inquisitors doesn't seem too exciting. The lack of cards for the new tournament format is bad. I need a deck and I can't get a deck.

I buy eBay or proxy minis from other designers. OPR has been killing it recently in minis and price and GW is going to price themselves out of market share.

I wonder if its possible to see how this model is doing in sales 6mo-1yr from its release. The imperial agents cover art would have been an awesome new model, the pose, and the gravitas is there.

I hate the crappy corporate strategy that GW has been using. We as a fan base have got to start holding them accountable with our wallets. That Coteaz model is abominable!

I made the switch to One Page Rules fully about six months ago. The only thing about 40K I missed was the lore. Don't miss it so much anymore.

I don't want progress in the overall universe. 40k should be a setting with infinite parallel narratives. The galaxy is a big place, there's a world for each player. Beyond that, the "age of primarchs" is a mess for faction balance in game but also narratively. They can't die! There is no jepody in this grim dark setting, it's absurd.

I can't watch the Yellow man his style just grates on me too much, and i get positivity, but he's too much in GW's pocket most of the time. I dont hate Val or anything, just his style of overly happy is just not for me.

FOMO also encourages scalpers.

Just remember, it's not just that GW can't write good rules, they WONT. if they every did, people would be mad when they need to write new rules to Sell a new edition
